From The
District Master
To: All Sir Knights
From: Sir Knight Armand Brooks, Master of the Fourth Degree
I offer all Sir
Knights the
happiest and
most prosperous
New Year
greetings. The
latter half of the
Fraternal Year
presents us with
some great
challenges but being the visible and
Patriotic arm of the Knights of
Columbus we are up to that
challenge.
We start the new year,
2007, in the Phoenix Diocese with
Adoration for Vocations program.
On each first Friday of the month,
Adoration of Jesus
Christ, our Lord and
Savior, in the Eucharist
will be present at SS
Simon & Jude
Cathedral following the
6:15 a.m. Mass
concluding on the First
Saturday with
Benediction and the
Holy Rosary prior to
the 6:15 a.m. Mass on that day. The
Fourth Degree along with other
organizations will provide 24 hour
Honor Guard for the Holy Eucharist.
Each month is assigned to a Phoenix
Metro Assembly or Assemblies, if
necessary, and their associated
councils. The Host Assembly,
Bishop Gomes Assemblyl #1805
will lead the way on January 5th. I
am looking for Assemblies to sign
up for the ensuing months we are
assigned. We are asking each Sir
Knight with regalia or just tuxedo to
participate in the honor guard. Do
not miss your chance to spend time
with Jesus for an hour or two, we all
need it, the world needs it and we
need more priest and religious.
Our next Exemplification of the
Fourth Degree will be held in Carefree on June 2nd. Details and registration
information will be posted soon. Each Faithful Navigator and
Assembly captilizes on these plans
by getting out to their associated
councils and recruiting new Sir
Knights. Help the Fourth Degree
grow, help your Assembly grow and
get them in regalia. We need more
Sir Knights to meet the challenges
we have before us.
Don’t be confused about the Annual
Survey Report. Just as each brother
knight reports his hours to his council
for their report, likewise, each fourth
degree Sir Knight must do the same
through his Assembly. These reports
are due this month so do not delay,
turn in your information at the next
Assembly Meeting so that your
Faithful Comptroller can summarize
the hours and get the report in on
time.
Each Faithful Navigator will be
receiving a lengthy letter
summarizing the many changes that
have occurred in the past months.
Needless to say I had to hit the
ground running when I took over as
your District Master, I am just now
catching up. I am presently
transitioning a new staff member to
aid me with the many administrative
duties of the district. Look for many
things to happen in the new year in
the area of communications,
membership, VAVS program, and
Honor Guard. I wish you all my best
because I am proud of each and every
Sir Knight out there.
Pray to St
Michael the Archangel to protect us
in the battle against the wickedness
and snares of the devil.
“Put on the Armor of God”
Vivat Jesus!
